Do you wanna be in it? We will need people to waltz in various spots. If you're available Wednesday afternoon, let me know - we could use ya! It's going to be great - and it's an excuse to visit Coney Island before it all changes.

First of all, cool :). Unfortunately I have other plans for Wednesday :(.
But what makes me curious. You wrote "... visit Coney Island before it all changes." What does this mean - does NYC has any future plans with Coney Island?
vividbreeze - there are plans for a major development that many feel will replace the existing democratic combination of a beach, boardwalk, and open attractions with a less accessible, more profitable vision that shuts out people of average means

Good luck with the film project Hilary! If you are interested in origins of Coney Island I highly recommend Ric Burns documentary 'Coney Island' and Kevin Baker's novel 'Dreamland'.
I hope you don't just document the changes but add your voice to fight for a vision of Coney Island that you embrace. If the City is going to spend public dollars on the development you have a say in how and where those dollars are spent.
Bravo!
What time Wednesday? It would be great to be there! :o)
Thanks for the comments and links and questions!
As for tomorrow, we will be there from 2-8, but hope to get most of the volunteer stuff done from 2-4pm.
