Dilemma.

There's a party tonight. A formal party.

I have a dress, but I can't zip it up without help.

After a conversation with Matt, I've figured out that I can use some twine to get it zipped. (Twine and bubble gum and dynamite...you know...MacGyver-style.)

But how am I going to get it off??

Update:

Grrrr.

Monogamy precludes the obvious answer, that involving the recruitment of a willing helper, I assume?

Exactly.

If I was single, I wouldn't be worried about it.

Oh. My heart really goes out to you on this one.

BTW, there was no bubble gum in it. That makes it so the dynamite won't explode.

The bubble gum just...makes me happy.

But yeah, you're right, you did not include bubble gum in your list. :)

This post is USELESS without pictures.

Of the dress, I mean. Or of you wearing the dress. Whichever.

Ok, I dunno if this will work (although it might make it sound like I've worn a dress before, which I haven't. Seriously.

Anyway, you put the dress on, then you left it up to where you can reach the zipper where your neck and shoulders meet on your back. Then, you zip and lower the dress back into place.

When I was in band, I didn't want to have to rely on someone to always zip my uniform, which zipped in the back a lot like this dress. So I'd left the uniform jacket high enough to zip and then lower it back. Same to unzip. Good times.
